For Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan’s movie
Dhobi Ghat it is the new actress on the block that is Monica Dogra who is all set to prove her acting skills opposite the perfectionist Khan of bollywood that is Aamir.
Buzz making rounds is that Monica took some lessons from the man himself. Confirming the same the new comer agrees that yes she took a whole lot of inspiration and some very essential acting help from Aamir.
Well Aamir being there for her help would have only made her a lot more confident about the part she played in the movie. Aamir only helped her as a colleague and peer and there was no special advisory made to her before the shooting.
Coming straight to her character Monica plays an NRI and well she actually is in real life, so was it any different from the real life.
Monica replies that she never had a problem with the character since she could relate to it so well. All the more she worked on the character just like any other actor who is also a daily human being.
This learning experience has only made her a better actor on the whole and she was very comfortable with every aspect of playing an NRI.
Even language was no problem to her as she could very well mouth the Hindi dialogues and also the English ones as Monica informs that the film has both. Dhobi Ghat by director Kiran rao starring Aamir Khan will hit theatres on the 21st of January.
